Sculptor/Painter
Anthony 'Tony' Cowdrey was born and raised in New Mexico. Tony's artistic interests were obvious from an early age - drawing as soon as he could hold a pencil and painting soon after. However, dogged by the notion that you can't make money as an artist, he joined the Navy at 18 to escape the employment desert of Roswell in the 80s.
After leaving the military, Tony moved around the United States, settling in Florida to start a family and embark on a new career. Earning a degree in digital art from St. Pete College, he found work as a proofreader, warehouse worker, and web designer before a stint at a tiki mug shop reinvigorated his love for art and ignited a continuing passion for ceramics.
A longing for the desert and a simpler life brought Tony back to New Mexico, and a stroke of luck landed him in Smuggler's Roost.

Scenic Installer
Tom Brown and his wife Linda moved from their retired lives in Tucson, Arizona to Smugglers’ Roost in Animas, NM in 2022. After a small stint into continued retirement, Tom met Pam Price and in 2024 came on board with F5 Theming as a prop builder, painter, equipment operator and mechanic. The large scale of many of F5 Theming’s projects lends itself to Tom’s engineering and mechanical talents, as well as his excellent crafting and painting abilities. Tom is rapidly expanding his knowledge of faux painting and texturing under Pam’s tutelage.
During his off hours, Tom works on expanding his homestead at The Roost and helping the community with its numerous social events.

Scenic Installer
Randy Grimes and his wife Pam retired from property management and moved to Smugglers’ Roost in Animas NM in 2022. After a brief time of relaxation, Randy has found new energy working for F5 Theming building props and managing inventory. “This job has been a great opportunity for adventure and it’s not like working at all” as Randy describes it and it proves that it’s important to enjoy what you do.
When Randy is not working, he’s at the helm of his outdoor kitchen cooking up western cuisine or out hunting with his champion bird dogs in the wilds of New Mexico.
