Introduction.

ETC Connect, or Electronic Theatre Controls, is a global company that specializes in creating advanced lighting, rigging, and control solutions for various industries like theater, film, television studios, and architectural spaces. Founded in Madison, Wisconsin, ETC is known for its innovation and reliability in lighting technology. They provide a range of products including control systems, dimming systems, and lighting fixtures, designed to meet the needs of entertainment and architectural lighting projects.

What we did.

ETC’s corporate campus features a Town Square that serves as a life-size model for showcasing different styles of lighting offered by the company. F5 Theming painted a building façade on wire mesh using trompe-l’oeil (an art technique that creates an optical illusion of three-dimensionality) which was used to enhance the façade of buildings with intricate designs. The painting on wire mesh, which conceals the offices behind, presented a huge challenge due to the difficulty in maintaining clarity and straight lines in the large mesh openings. Notwithstanding the difficulty, the detailed designs enhance the visual impact and transform this public space into a dynamic environment.
